We can see the PMC 223 55gr all over the ammo websites across canada. I am curious enough to actually go to PMC's official website figuring out they DO HAVE GREEN TIPS as the biggest ammo manufacturer for south korean army.

So the retailers are selling 55 gr 223 PMC as 9.99/20 rounds, I am so curious how much will it cost to get the green tips, i dont mind pay a bit more like 70 cents per round when it comes down to green tip

You're obviously not looking to hard for it, PMC 62gr green tip is in stock all over the country right now.

Green tip M-855/SS-109 ammo has a small steel "penetrator" under the tip. It is not armor piercing. It was designed to penetrate light armor (steel helmets) at extended ranges. A standard 62 gr FMJ will perform pretty much the same at closer ranges (less than 200 yds)

Do they still use steel brain buckets in the Military these days?
Sometimes looking for things are harder to find..kinda like the white elephant in the classroom ..there it is but I just cannt see it for the life of me.
Trust the ammo will be readily available for all to spend there hard earned sheckles on and performs well in their rifles.

Many military optics available to the public also have drop-compensated reticles specifically designed for this rounds trajectory. I know a couple guys who shoot service rifle who use it for this purpose. They could use 55gr but it's just easier if the 62gr is available as they don't need to memorize new holdovers.
