Why was the Leupold CQ/T scope no good?

I remember reading that no one was very fond of the CQ/T, why was that? It has some of the Short Dot's quality's and is 1000$ cheaper.

Lack of a permanenetly lit reticle - so its use in some lighting environements was tough - no to mention very hard to use while moving -- and the 8hr battery life was ASS.

Very poor field of view and with that FOV went a large scope that took up a lot of your FOV outside the sight.

Poor mounting system, poor range adjustment and poor reticle.


USASOC explained what they wanted and Leupold decided they knew better -- then where unwilling to chnage it into something useful as a Cbt optic.

Off Topic, Simular sight the IOR tactical 3x25 are they any better? They look like the Leupold CQ/T. I was thinking of getting one.They have a ret sorta like the TA31, 3Xmag but they are only 775 CND.
