I've been wanting to buy a Marlin 336C in 35 Rem. and I want to put a peep sight or a ghost ring on it. I've been looking at Lyman, Williams and XS sight systems. I don't really want something that is too bulky, but I also want something that can be adjusted easy for windage and height. I am kinda leaning towards the Williams Fiersight, but I want to know what you guys think about these products and if there are any other options I missed. By the way, I'll be hunting deer in some fairly heavy cover, no one in our hunting party has ever shot a deer over 75 yards. Thanks!

Haven't used any of the other ones so I can't really comment, but I have a Lyman on my 336CS and am quite happy with it. It comes with two different apertures, but I tend to use the larger "hunting" one (rather than the smaller "target" one) more often than not. Best thing was that my rifle was already factory drilled and tapped for a receiver sight. Haven't gotten around to switching up the front sight yet (to something a little finer), but overall it works well enough with the stock unit in place....

hsld.

Thanks for the response! One more question. I liked the firesight for low light conditions, have you guys experianced any proplems with regular peep-sights in such condition?
