Sako

I voted for the Sako, suits the type of hunting that I do and I like the look of it better. I walk and hunt, the Tikka seems like a sit and hunt gun. (After actually reading the Specs I see the Tikka isn't that much heavier, the Sako's still nicer IMHO:) )

Good choice in cartridge, you'll like the Quarter/06.

Personally, I'd go with the Sako (all things being equal) just because I've already got a Tikka & I've already got a heavy-barreled varmint gun.

I would also take the Sako. I have a burn that itches every once and a while, the wife says crabs, but I think it is just my fondness of Sako rifles :D

I'm not sure the sako has a detachable mag though, does that even weigh anything in the balance? The Tikka also has an adjustable cheek piece

I think they are both great choices and it would depend on how many rounds I would fire in a year and my style of hunting.

Why would the number of rounds you would fire in a year influence your choice?

If i compare prices, from the P&D Ent. website, a Super Varmint sells for 1570$(.223rem) while the greywolf sells for 1550$

Sorry, just meant it as a general observation.

And I'm definitely biased towards the 75's. ;) They just feel like the next best thing to custom made in my hands.

Where is the "If it ain't a Remington I don't want it" option??
ooops, i guess the person that revised the options before i posted the poll must be the same person who does the QC at Remington arms
