Too long in that she can't shoulder it comfortably or quickly. She's under 5', so she has pretty short little arms too.

I was thinking a replacement stock might help? We're open to those adjustable tactical stocks (the gun is mainly for her IPSC), but she doesn't like the ones that come with pistol grips.

Does anyone have any specific recommendations and where to purchase one? Thanks!

so, she has more experience things that are proportionately short to her :p

tagged for interest, my wife didn't like the shotgun either, and I'm looking for a solution.

Can ya trade in the wife for a bigger model? Just playing! My wife hasn't gone any bigger then a .410 yet!

As mentioned, you should be able to find a used youth stock fairly cheap. A more expensive option would be to put an adjustable stock on, but most I've seen are the pistol grip type

if she is under 5 feet tall, a youth stock may be too big also. Go to a gun shop, get her to try out a youth gun. If the LOP is too long still, find an express wood stock, get it cut down and the pad reshaped. you may need to go as low as 11 inch LOP. Or look at hogue youth stock also - I was looking at them yesterday and they seemed short - dont recall the LOP though.

Thanks for both the informative and funny responses guys :p

I ordered a Hogue 12" LOB replacement stock that should arrive before the weekend. It certainly can't hurt. And besides, I don't want to make is so short that I can't play with it from time-to-time as well.

Just to update, the Hogue 12" LOP stock arrived today and I just finished installing it for her. I bought it from tacessories Canada, and the service was great. Not only did they have several in stock (without the forend), but Eric the owner called me back before 6:00 AM BC time and ensured that it would be packed and out to the post office right when it opened so that it would arrive on time for my wife's practice this weekend.

What a difference 2" make! I'm 5'10" and it's borderline for me. Having the stock that short would take me some serious getting used to, which incidentally would probably ruin my muscle memory for everything else I own if I shot it a lot. Luckily the wife finds it perfect, which means I'm not in the dog house tonight.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone!
