Wild Boar Hunting

I am interested in going after wild boar this fall, anyone know of any hotspots in Manitoba, particularily in the Southern end of the province?

Wild free-ranging or preserve? Check with the fish cops to see what the rules are for fair chase boar. If there have been complaints or known concentrations, these are the guys to know.

Preserve hunting in Manitoba is illegal! There are free ranging piggies in the interlakes and the Beausejour area is one that is frequently mentioned. Most pigs are killed incidentally on deer drives by the locals. Getting permission to access good hunting areas can be difficult as the 'marauding pigs' are coveted as special big game by the land owners who complain about them to the ministry.
