Wild boar in Manitoba

Hello,
I tried doing a search but could not come up with any good results.

I was wondering if anyone on this board knows of some good areas to go Wild boar hunting in Manitoba.

Last I checked with Manitoba conservation, they said they were getting pretty sparse. Just call up the local CO or check the website for Wild Boar problem areas, and focus there.

Hunt many square miles in SW Manitoba and never seen or heard of wild boar out that way.

I know they mention the wild pigs in the regulations, but none of my hunting buddies have known of them out that way.

I think wild boar is becoming a phantom idea in Manitoba.

Them boys are good hunters and shooters, and dont mind stopping to shoot a free tag critter.
But hasn't happened yet....

I hear there are wild boar out by Sioux Valley on the 21 north of #1 hwy. I don't think there are many mind you. Last I heard the COs just want them dead.



EDIT: I just read my post, if it sounds racist, it ain't. I mean wild boar for real.

The area I used to hunt wild boar near Selkirk, is cleaned out of them.

There are a few kicking around in the sandilands as well as mars sand hills, but good luck finding them.
