708 is over the caliber restriction and doesnt offer the very frangible bullets of the 277. Im looking for a round strickly for coyotes and wolves. Bigger frontal diameter and rapid expansion should be more fur friendly than my current line up

Or just neck up a 6.5 Creedmoor which is pretty well what you are describing. You could call it the 270 Creedmoor and cash in on the ###y name .................

if the .243 doesnt do it, an the 260rem wont do it, nor will a 7-08, then i dunno how a 270 will suit

Once i finish my 250 savage project ill see if i can mock up some rounds. Still interested in it though. Im going to see if i can just swap bushings in redding dies to go from 250ai to 277ai. Kinda like 223 to 20 practical. If that can be done ill either order a reamer or see if they can modify a 250ai reamer. Throated long on a short action should be able to seat the bullet out and have enough neck length to hold the bullet i think. Just be different is all
