I ask because... well because the idea, the concept is really appealing. So is the price.

But... the rear peep seems a bit fragile. And doesn't seem to take advantage of the standard rear having the bullet drop adjustment. Also, I'm not sure what you can adjust for zeroing this... I think the front doesnt allow one of the adjustments the standard SKS does.

That said, I'd like to know from people who actually owned these sights, or who shot a buddy's SKS that had these, what do you think?

Pros? Cons?

I had the Williams rear sight on an SKS I used to own. Locktite all the screws and it will hold just fine.

Kept the stock SKS front sight (changed to a finer target post). That left me with windage and elevation adjustment via the front sight.

Ya personally I cannot use the stock setup, I go cross eyed and have a really hard time linking everything up because it's so dark. The Williams makes it so much easier to line up the target, especially with the fire site on the front. But like the others said up top you have to loctite everything or every five shots your picking stuff up off the ground

No to the firesight post but yes to the rear peep. The 'slide rule' traditional rear sight at range isn't all that accurate anyway. Loktite peepsight and do tip of front post at 100 yards. Minute of milk jug.

I have a rear Williams firesight and run the factory front post with it. If you like a good iron sight, get it! You can also unscrew the little adapter to widen the sight picture for a ghost ring sight. I prefer that, it works really good. Improves the feel of the sks when shooting. Get one.

Even with loc-tite my rear sight liked to come loose and the front was a bear to get centred. I found the front sight to be overly fat but visible although the fibre optic part fell out and had to be glued back in. I later bought another SKS that I left with factory sights and I honestly shoot that one better and I'm a peep sight loving guy. Maybe try the tech sights.

Got one of mine with the Williams rear peep and tapco almost national match front post. I'll let you know how much improved it shoots soon.
