will .38 Special function in a .357 Win Mod '94?

This may be a stupid question - but, generally speaking, will 38 Special cartridges chamber and function in a .357 Winchester Model '94? I have heard mixed reviews of this rifle with .357 so I'm not even sure if .38 Special would function in it.

A friend brought his out here for the first time sight-in. After we got it hitting the black, we tried some .38 Special handloads with the Lyman 358665 Cowboy bullet. Ate them like candy.

They can be finnicky as to "OAL" but most function well with either. I did have one that did not like 38 specials.....we swapped the carrier with a new one and it worked well after that.
Pay attention to "the Bullet profile" round noses, Truncated FP's etc. cycle great, wadcutters etc. do not ;)
If you have one that shoots 357's but not 38's I've seen fellas seat the 38 bullets out to 357 lengths and they worked fine.
