Will 870 furniture fit a S&W 3000?

Title pretty much sums it up. I've got an old beat up S&W 3000 that I'd like to tart up a bit and I'm hoping that 870 furniture will fit, anything will be better than the god awful choate folder and forend that's on it now.
 
Damn. Could it be modified to fit, or would it be too much of a hassle?

Anyone got a line on some plain jane police wood for S&W 3000?
