If there are a few small flocks (6 to 12 birds) spread out by roughly a kilometre or two, that seem to keep there distance and do their own thing...
Will a big dominant Tom travel back and forth amongst these flocks searching for love?
Is it common for them to cover ground and cruise for hens to breed in more than one flock?
Or do the Tom's generally only stay with their one flock?
I have a big Gobbler that seems to roost away from the flock that I hunt, he seems comfortable covering ground and I am guessing that he roosts half way between two flocks....?
What do you think?
Thanks
