Will a Glock 22 barrel work in a Glock 23?

Has anyone tried this or do you think it will work?

The reason I ask is because I want to buy a Glock 23 and have the retailer sell it to me with an after market barrel provided by me.

The Glock 23 barrel is 4.02".

The after market Canadian length Glock 23 barrels are approximately 4.25".

The Glock 22 aftermarket barrels are 4.49".

I figure if I use the Glock 22 length barrel in the 23 I can also use it in a Glock 22 for re-Loaded ammo.

What say the hive?

Not sure but I know the 9mm 17 and 19 aren't interchangeable due to different locking blocks or something. I would bet the .40 models would be the same but don't know for sure.

Thanks guys, its quite clear that a 22 length barrel will not work in a 23.

Now I guess I have choose between a Glock 23 or 27 for my next purchase.

Took it to the range twice, still prefer my full size Glock.
