A brake... that's spelled b r a k e ... is more effective/efficient when the bore of the brake is 20 to 25 thou over bullet diameter and concentric to the barrel's bore.

Do you want one that specifically looks like that? Zahal has one that's specifically made for .223/5.56 diameter but it's more expensive.

On ebay I bought the short slanted brake for the 7.62x39 and found it had much too much downforce on the muzzle.

So I put it on the 223. perfect!

On ebay it was a $10 brake.
