Will an SVD side rail work with an AK style mount? For my VZ

I ordered a unversal rail from Kalinka optics - but when I got it.... it looks like an SVD style mount....will this work with AK style mount optics ?

not sure what you are saying but if it is just the rail that attaches to the rifle then yes it will attach to any ak scope. BUT SVD scope mounts are lower than AK mounts. Mounts are independant of the rail.

Blackgunlover is correct, it should fit perfectly.

I think the reason SVD mounts are lower is because the rail on an SVD is mounted higher, this should be of no concern to you as you can mount the rail in the position most suitable for your scope.
