will browning reintroduce the winchester model 94 ??

................Haven't heard anything as of yet. Definitley won't be getting rid of my Pre 64's in .30 WCF and .32 Special regardless. There are definitley not very many for sale on the board anymore compared to last year at this time.

If they do I want a .25-35 with no re bounding hammer or any safety (other than 1/2 ####) crossbolt tang etc. I would also like the forend wood to be
'40s style by being slightly longer than the mid '50's vintage '94s. I know not a chance of this happening but I can hope.......

cheers Darryl

Browning has their own lever gun, the BLR, so why would they bring out a 94 type?

The Savage 99 was (and is) a great lever gun and competition for the 94. I'd like to see Savage bring back the 99.

Maybe Norinco will introduce a '94 clone & have the 'quality' go the other way... :p

Be nice if they made a strong, trapper, and long barreled 92 Win, in 460 s&w, that would also fire 45 LC.

Well I heard from a very informed source today that Browning has indeed purchased the Winchester license. They would not have bothered if they didn't intend to produce them. Can anyone spell Japan....

browning could have aquired the model 94 licence just to keep anyone else from getting it. i don't see them starting up production on another 94 version when they have the BLR.

The BLR and the 94 are two totally different platforms with totally different cartridges. I really don't think they compete much with each other.

Instead of the 94, they should do one like the 64 in a rifle format with pg stock.

I think you'll see it produced offshore, likely Japan, likely of excellent quality, and expensive for the little rifle.
30-30 will be the first choice of cartridge. Lets hope they don't bring out a bunch of collector chamberings.
Lets have 45 colt, 44 Mag, 38-55 and some of the big bore line the 307, 356, 375.....
The 32-40 is also a nice one.
Love to see a model 64 variant too.
