The 8 round device used in the M1 Garand is NOT a magazine - it's an en bloc clip, hence magazine rules do not apply. Have a great day - you're welcome.

True, the enbloc clip is not a magazine, but it will be decreed that the cavity in the rifle that holds the clip IS a magazine, and all Garands must be permanently altered so that they can't hold more than 5 rounds. Not technically feasible? Your problem, not theirs. They don't even have to remove the exemption for the clips. You can still have an 8 round clip, you just can't have a rifle to put it in.

Trudeau is probably the most unstable , and incompetent PM that Canada has even had , so anything can happen . The only thing for sure is that the Liberal party believes that only the police and military should have guns in Canada , and that is the direction that Canada will follow whenever the Liberals are in power .
