They all have the same dimensions(more or less) front to back, the filler blocks are the way they deal with shorter rounds.
The only limitation is the length of the mag.
As an example, I use the Tripp 10mm system mags in a 40cal Trojan and there are some that use 38 super mags in their 9mm single stacks.
The Tripps are really nice BTW.
