Will Kimber made barrels fit winchester 70s or Mauser 98s?

Looking to buy a Kimber barrel and can't find any info if they will fit winchester 70s or Mauser 98 actions. Any insight from our CGN crowd?

Which Kimber? The 84 apparently has a tenon that .840" diameter, while Winchesters are apparently 1". That means the whole tenon has to come off and be recut. If it's a heavy barrel or a magnum barrel, you may have enough shoulder to recut the tenon. If the barrel is a light sporter barrel, you're not likely able to refit it, unless you can convert it to a barrel nut arrangement without a torquing shoulder.

Sleeve the threads, thread the sleeve. Why buy a Kimber barrel instead of buying a custom barrel? Are they special?

Its for the 84M model. Not special but it was fair priced with lots of reloading components that came with it. I guess ill pass on it.

I bought one some years back in 6mm that I thought I could use on a 223 bolt face brno I had. Turned out to be too small, sadly. - dan
