will Savage Arms ever make a boomer?

Sorry if I sent you on that tangent Ardent, but I don't think I ever made a negative comment regarding Ruger's quality. I also don't take my opinions from what I've heard or what a buddy has said but more or less what I've experienced first hand from the guys I hunt, shoot, and reload with. I know their guns almost as well as my own.

We strive for minute of angle accuracy or better of which most of the Rugers do (now). One hawkeye just needed the barrel channel hogged out and the trigger fixed yet some of the others required more including rebarrelling and action work to provide satisfactory results.

I agree with you that Rugers are quality guns byt my opinion on their accuracy extends all the way from their 10/22's to their Number Ones. My opinion isn't hear say but rather first hand. I haven't owned a 77 and the above reasons are why, but when I have the time to do a rifle right it will be an FN 98 or a Ruger 77 and I think that says a lot about what I think of Ruger quality.

Grice Wholesale has a limited run chambered in 338 Lapua as we speak...
