will tapco sks mags work on my russisn sks?

i have a russisn sks and i bought a tapco mag and i was wondering why it doesnt lock in please help.

My Tapco mags had the same problem. I had to trim down the duck bill alittle. use a box cutter or a drum sander but dont sand down to much.

just jam it in there with the bolt open. you're not going to damage anything. these rifles are beasts.

All of 5 seconds of light work with a file on the corners of the mag above the duckbill will solve any problems

Work great in my 2 Russians. Had to do a bit of filing on the tops of the lips to allow the bolt to move smoothly over the top and also had to file a little on the underside of the lips to get the front of the round to elevate in order to be loaded properly. Now they work as well as my original mag, even with strippers. No mods were needed to the duckbill.
