Will we see Hi-Cap Shotguns like the KSG and the 1216 in Canada?

No I can guarantee you the SRM 1216 would be illegal, even for prohib holders because it holds more than 5 shells and it's semi auto. I can tell you 100% because they don't want use to have anything "that looks too scary for a civilian to be allowed to use". The ONLY Canadians allowed to have those would work for Marstar.

As for the KSG, it's available. Alot of Kel-Tec's are banned by name. Not sure if they will change it though, especially with all the anti-gun bias as of late. I found it on here http://www.lanzshootingsupplies.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=118

It's NON-Restricted..... AT LEAST FOR THE MOMENT. And cheaper than the UTS-15

The UTS-15 is for sale though. Check out: http://www.tacticalimports.ca/nonrestricted-firearms-c-1.html?filter_id=8&sort=20a

Non restricted and high cap manual. IF you got $1,700 you wanna blow. Again until they start messing around with the FRT.

What Kel-Tec firearms are banned by name? Maybe your thinking of "Intratec" firearms. Kel-Tec has a number of firearms for sale in Canada - Sub2000, RFB, KSG, SU16, SU22, PMR30 and maybe more that I am not aware of. I have two of their guns (KSG & RFB), and both are excellent.

KSG is already here.

Yes it's here and the hype far exceeds its reputation. I bought one off a member here thru a WTB add. Sold it just as quick. It has two things going for it. Mag capacity and a shorter overal length. Other than that for your average shot gunner it's a toy. If in a situation that I felt my life was in danger in the bush I'd be grabbing the cheapest mossberg pump before the KSG.

Actually, that's incorrect. The SRM 1216 is actually legal and non-restricted. The SRM 1208 and SRM 1212 are both restricted based on barrel length. In all instances the magazine capacity needs to be permanently restricted to 5 rounds otherwise it (and not the shotgun) is classified as a prohibited device.

The 1216 classed 'restricted'.

The FRT # is 129022
