Williams Aperture sight on Winchester 94

Can anyone tell me if a taller front sight is required, in order to use a Williams 94/36 aperture sight on a factory standard 1955 Winchester 94 in 30/30.

I have had several set up as you describe. Sighted in no problem. It is the front sights dovetailed to the barrel without the ramp that usually need a higher set.
