Wilson AR Barrels

I've got a 14.5" CrMo on mine, seems to work OK. I don't know that it's more accurate or any better than anything else.

I have a Wilson 14.5" barrel. I can do 1 MOA, but only if I shoot in between heartbeats. I just cannot hold it steady enough, that is the frustrating part.

Yah, I would agree that a Wilson barrel will outshoot most of the black rifle owners here on this board, me included!! I would be happy to buy more Wilson barrels since their quality is fabulous. Oh, BTW, I've got 2 of them already.... 20" HBAR and 14.5" carbine (M4 wannabe) and I would buy more if I could find the money.

Go for the Wilson bbl if you can.

Cheers,
Barney

I would not call them top quality -- but for a production barrel they are good.

Heck any barrel on a decent AR maker will do well.

Wilson barrels have done will in the NRA Hi-Power events

What would be top quality? I've heard Krieger is up there.

Top quality
Kreiger
Douglas
Noveske
etc.

Also Wilson makes both SS and CM barrels...

Who chambers the barrel is more important.

Kino Davis has a good FAQ on AR barrels at M4Carbine.net

Can't comment on the standard Wilson barrels but I have a Stainless Wilson Air Gauged bull barrel on my RRA Varmint and its simply outstanding. Its has a Wylde chamber btw

It will put 3 69gr SMKs in 1/2 MOA to 3/4 MOA . It will put 5 shots into under 1 MOA always, and if I think real hard it will put it into 3/4s

Profile is a bit heavy though. My Colt HBAR I had wouldn't do this
