Wilson or Forster Case Trimmer?

I'm looking for a new trimmer and looking for opinions on both the Wilson Sharkfin trimmer and the Forster Trimmer. The difference is cost isn't a factor, after the trimmer and case holders or collets/pilots purchased the $ difference is enough to worry about. I'm just looking for a good trimmer that will last for some time to come.
 
The sharkfin that Sinclair sells with wilson shell holders and micrometer, is the best trimmer I have owned, spend the extra and buy the carbide cutter the RCBS, Lyman are not in same league

I have a very old Wilson trimmer that's used for 308 and 30-06, works great. Quite accurate, very repeatable cut length but not the fastest; but then I don't trim every reload. For the smaller cases such as 223 I use the a Lee trimmer which seems to work okay, but the tip of the length pin is starting to mushroom from excessive use so it will need replacement with a hardened steel pin to set it back to original length.
 
Just got my Wilson in the mail from Sinclair. Design seems so simple and looks to be very accurate. I didn't like the looks of the forster in the way it held cases(as if the oal would change each case trimming). Never really looked at any others. I only had previous experience with the Lee cutter setup. No more of that stuff for me, the case has slipped out 1 too many times. I just finished trimming 100 new .223 brass. Didn't take too long once in a rhythm.

The first trimmer I have been real happy with.

Never used the Wilson though it looks very good.
 
Try to find out what Benchrest crowd is using.
They mostly go with Wilson, because makes most sense to have case square to the cutter.
 
I have a Wilson that I purchased from Sinclair the one with the stand and micrometer adjustment, I like it and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good trimmer. I started with the Lee trimmer and it worked okay but I needed to trim some brass to a shorter length to work with a rifle I have and I purchased the Wilson and I have never looked back.

Trimmer?

Go with the Wilson. Its design ensures case mouths are cut square. Also has low angle chamfer cutters available that make bullet seating much easier.

I have both the Wilson and the Giraud. The Wilson only gets used when I have something the Giraud isn't adjusted for, like trimming a formed case or for cases I don't yet have a Giraud shell holder for. I'm only loading for precision rifle...

When ordering, tell Doug that it's for a precision gun and he'll use the tighter reamer to make the shell holder. Then the chamfers come out perfectly concentric.
 
I've got a Sinclair Wilson w/micrometer and really like it, huge step up from the RCBS. Made a power adapter for it but have yet to finish the little project. Going to see if it will work for hollow pointing 44 cast as well, the stubby centering bits for lathes fit right in where the cutter resides.
