Win 1885 Value

I know this is not much to go on but a fellow worker asked me what his Winchester 1885 in 303Brit was worth. he says it is unaltered and in good condition. just looking for a ballpark figure. I am more into the Black rifle side of things so am not to much help to him.

I think he means model 1895 and its pretty hard to get a value with out pics.

My mistake. 1895 it is. Cannot do pics as we are in camp. And it is a dry camp(No Firearms Allowed) He was just hoping for an idea as to what it might be worth. We might not be allowed firearms here but we still like to talk about them.

They vary quite a bit. I have seen them go for as low as 500 for a refinished beat up shooter to a G note and more for a real nice one in original condition.
