Win 296

I found a can of Winchester 296 powder in perfect shape one of those 3 lb cans. I has been kept dry and in the dark so what could I use if for if anything ? I would hate to start the bon fire with it. Well maybe but na what could I use it in. I am thankful for any ideas.

Heavy loads in magnum handguns, .22 Hornet, .30 carbine, .410 Shotgun shells.....but mostly in the .357,.41, and .44 Mag. including heavy loads with heavier then usual bullets, including the WFN and LFN heavy cast bullets. WW296 is the same powder as H-110.

Yes, a handgun guy would gladly take it off your hands. My wife's 44 mag likes it. Our favorite doctor might have a use for it too.

I use only 296 in my hornet

cast bullet loads in 30-30, 30-06, .308, and .257 roberts to name a few. Similar to 2400 burning rate.

and you can use any recipe for H110 interchangeably ( while working up as usual)
