Win 571 Powder

Long discontinued, it was listed on the Hodgdon website up until recently as being the same as HS-7. OOPS, still is, they just moved it

More of a magnum type powder for 357 or 44.
 
Bought a 8 pounder a few years back, I use it for medium loads for .357 mag and .44 mag with lighter bullets, burns a bit dirty if you load light, cleans up once the pressure is high enough.

Switch to W296/H110 for heavy bullets.


HS-7 data works fine for it.
 
It was orig. meant as a shotshell powder for loading heavy loads in the 12ga., these loads are not called for much anymore with the requirement for Steel shot. As someone else mentioned it is the same as HS-7, both discontinued.
