I'm helping a friend of mine restore a winchester 69a rifle that was his father's. There are a few problem spots in this project (neglect, poor storage, broken stock) but it is important to him. Anyone got any ideas where I can find a manual for this rifle? Can't seem to find anything with search engines and all I have to work with are the exploded views in the Brownell's catalogue. Any suggestions appreciated.

For a good clear schematic goto http://stevespages.com/page7a.htm then goto Winchester rifles . I couldn't find any online manuals, and chances are it came with a tag or a folder with info on it. There was not too many manuals given out a long time ago.
