I can’t find it in the Numrich schematics, but I believe there is a roll pin that keeps the long firing pin in the bolt.

Looking for a source, also is there any sort of spring that pushes the firing pin backwards to keep it from accidentally contacting the primer?

Again, not seeing this in any of the Numrich pre or post 64 schematics. Rifle in question was built in the 70’s.

Pre-'64 have a small solid pin, not a roll pin. Post '64 don't have anything, they use the link pin to retain the firing pin.

There's no spring, the firing pin just free-floats in the bolt.

Sorry, lever pin, not link pin.

I just looked, your right, I probably got mixed up as I just had a pre 94 (1924 manufacturer date) apart and then this one it basically just falls out.

I appreciate you wisdom!! Thanks!!
