im looking for the value of a winchester 94 commemerative rifle for the ontario wildlife protectionn 100 year aniversary. cannot find this rifle on any forum it has a moose engraved on back and an what i assume to be wildlife officer on the other side.

I believe you mean the Ontario Conservation Officers Commemerative rifle. There were supposed to be 1000 manufactured . They had a badge and the badge number imbeded in the stock. They were offered first to Active CO's at about $1000 per rifle. Then Winchester or its heir went bankrupt again and I believe Cherry's Guns took over the contract and had them finished in Italy. They were then considerable more than $1000.
The only one I have seen for sale was at Cherry's years ago. I have seen one at another retired Ontario C.O 's I was going to order one when they were first available but thought better of it.
I seem to remember Cherry's asking $1400.00 for theirs. The wood is some Italian hardwood that was extremely well figured and finished.
Hope this helps, I know I have the initial brochure and order form somewhere in my papers. I will look and see if I can find and update you
Hope this helps

The Gun Digest book of Modern Gun values shows this rifle as been made in 1992
exclusively for Cherry's and only around 500 were made. The value placed on it
is $1250.oo by GD. The rifle is a Model 94 AE complete with the ugly crossbolt safety
and made by USRAC. The wood is real nice though.:(
