Win 94

Just bought my first Winchester model 94 (trapper)
I like it alot but I noticed that the lever does wiggle a bit (lateral play)
Is this normal with win 94 rifles ? Is there a way to tighten up the system ?

My post 64 trapper does the same thing

I have owned many of them and they are all like that if they are post 64.

that loosey goosey thing is part of the reason the 94 will work in the cold and the wet, when others won't
