I was browsing a local pawn shop and they have a Win. 94 i believe they said it was 1974. they want $330 for it.

The rear sight elvator is missing and the blueing looks pretty worn. the stock is in ok condition mostly work sained but not too badly chipped or scrached.

Do you guys think this a good price?

and if i did get it how hard do you think it would be to flip it and sell?

P.s

If any one has a rear sight elvator for sale PM me.

Too much money in the condition described.
Epp's is listing one in VG condition for $399.
It's going to cost you to fix it and nobody really wants a Win 94 that has been cold blued. If that was part of your plan. Cold bluing is for touch-ups, not whole rifles.
A rear sight elevator runs $8.95US.

I do not think it would be a "quick flip"....it is after all a post-64 and really not in the "want" lists. I bought a 1971 M-94 at a pawn shop in Wpg. a few years ago for $175.....in very good condition.

If its a rifle that you really want, go ahead and buy it, but it won't flip. Forget the rear sight elevator, instead buy a Williams Foolproof receiver sight and an XS post front sight of appropriate height (it will have to be a bit higher than the factory front sight) and go shooting. The fact that the gun is in a pawn shop, you might be able to haggle the price down a bit.

As an aside, I wanted to see if there was a difference in quality between the Williams and Lyman receiver sights, so I now own both, and I prefer the Williams FP with finger adjustments.

The pawn shop is asking far too much, especially in the coditiom you describe. This past summer I took a mint 94 in on trade with a placed value of $300

Save your money and buy one here on the EE Forum. If you have a bit of time, you can wait until the right one comes along. I have bought and sold a few here and a good deal is available from time to time..... just make sure you move fast once you see one as the good bargains don't last long.

For example see: http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=535975

Good luck!
