Picked up some once fired Win 22-250 brass at a gunshow....fired brass weighs 160.2gr with a weight of 205.5 gr full of H2O .........case capacity of 45.3gr of H2O..............now the older stuff I was using and getting one hole groups and no pressure signs marked WW-Super....159.5 gr empty primed brass....204.8gr full of H2O........case capacity identical at 45.3gr of H2O.........getting flattened primers with same loads that were flawless earlier.I guess I'll have to back off a couple a three grains and work up from there? Frustrating though..........Harold

5-10 years ago I preferred win brass, now I avoid it like the plague...

I hope you have good luck with this batch you found, maybe it isn't very new?

It's new [once fired],as it had factory colored primers.I'll try reducing the charge somewhat or buy a 100 Lapua and go from there......Harold

Go with lapua and don't look back. It ends up being cheaper anyway when you consider how many times it can be reloaded and the amount of time you save with prep.

Ordered 100/Lapua from Hirsch ..........if it still doesn't pan out it will become .250 Savage for my 700 Classic......Harold
