Win. Dynapoint & 10/22

Dynapoints are OK.... The Dynapoint GT is absolutly terrible! Not that accurate, and dirty as heck...... they must have a guarentee...... "Guarenteed to foul your action to the point of jamming in 150 rnds or less!"

Seriously the GT's are absolutly terrible!

I use the white box Dynapoints and the black box Dynapoint GTs. I don't see any difference in my 10/22 or my .22 conversion kit for my Glock. They are the best bulk ammo for the cheapest price. Both look exactly the same. Are you sure you didn't make your decision due to a bad batch? Did you shoot a lot of the GTs? From what I have read the white boxes are old stock and the black GTs are new stock after Winchester stopped making them for a while. They are supposed to be exactly the same ammo.

I had issues with them recently, they would not cycle the bolt with the factory 10 round mag, even with the internals polished. However they cycled fine with a Tactical Inc magazine.

Accuracy wise I cannot say as I have not shot groups with them.

Cleanliness wise they are dirty as hell, your hands and chamber will be covered in lead.

The cooper plated Dynapoint works well enough for me (both in the semi or bolt guns)

The Xpert will only work in bolt or lever guns...

And when it comes to dirty 22lr ammo... nothing seems to be the Remington Cyclone...

blazers are great, not one falure after 1000 rounds. (note to self buy more blazers) they also come in other calibers too.
xpert works well in my 10/22.

Guy at the range was using Blazers without one jam.Mine usually worked good with Federal bulk but I opened up up a box of Win expert and it totally sucked in my gun

ive had great results with the dynapoint gt's in my 10/22t! they are a bit on the dirty side, just makes me keep my gun clean! but ive had about 5 missfires in 2000 rounds. for bulk ammo i like them. and i will shoot them untill i find something as cheep

Okay I screwed up on my previous post, I thought I had dynapoints but they were expert .22s.

However I got out on the range today and did a hasty test with various ammos at 25 yards with a vice and one hella of a wind. First time shooting groups ever but Dynapoint did the best with American Eagle (copper plated) and 333 packs in a close second.

I do not shoot a 10-22 but all Winchester ammo work in my 1940s Mossberg semis and all bolts ( Stevens, Marlin and Lakefield.). The 333 seem the best but the experts have a better killing power compared to the Dynapoints or 333s.. 3000 rounds of mixed ammo and not one misfire. I do not find it any dirtier than other brands as all produce residue when powering back the bolt to reload. I do enjoy cleaning the action as it is so simple to do. Not really a chore.

My 10/22 jammed up using the factory magazine the first time I tried the 333. I seem to have a lot of troubles with the flat-nosed winchester rounds in both my savage MKII and now the 10/22. Federal bulk and Rem Yellow Jackets fed and fired flawlessly through both the factory and butler creek 25rnd steel lips mags which was weird cause the YJ's are pretty flat on the front. Today I couldnt pass up on a couple boxes of "western" .22's on sale at CO-OP. they look identical to the xpert, and probably wont feed, but were $15.00/brick so if they dont feed then they will go into the "Cooey pile" to eventually be shot. ;) I do also have a box of dynapoints lying around, which I know will work in the Savage, just havent tried them in the 10/22 yet, but being a round nose, I am sure there will be no problems.

Are they fairly clean?

Blazers yes very very clean, you could blow the dust out of your barrel after a day of shooting. xpert are soso, not as clean as blazers but better then some, and do reqire a good cleaning after a few hours of shooting.
