I like the Winchester M70 safety for its three positions, having the third option is what I'm used to.

Looking to install this on my FN98 Husky as the Beuhler two position is keeps me wanting.

Anyone have any experience with these? Good, bad, crap?

Being a retrofit, they are only as good as the installation.

Make sure you have the trigger installed that will stay on the gun and tune/adjust it first.

Where are you getting one of these? Or are you making it?

Don't know that yet. I will get my hands on one somehow.

Got that covered. Looking for an adjustable trigger to install along with it.

I have one on a .35 whelen build off an argy 1909 mauser. It's sweet - wouldn't be without it. Worth every penny and let's you mount low glass without compromising a 3-pos safety.

I have a Gentry on my FN98 (Husqvarna 640). Make sure you have a good (un-messed-with) cocking piece. I kept the original and bought a replacement for use with the safety. Make sure you have a good understanding of the interaction between safety, cocking piece, and sear. If you must remove material, use a stone and go lightly - the case hardening does not go very deep and you don't want to bite into the softer material. If you do, everything may be fine at first but eventually you could end up with a rifle that fires when you remove the safety.

If this can help, I have a good supply of brand new in-the-white commercial cocking pieces and other commercial M/98 parts. Check out the EE. Feel free to ask as I may not have posted everything I have.
