Win Mod 12 in WW2 ?

Any one know if the Mod 12 was used by US or allied forces in WW2 ?

Winchester made a model 97 trench gun in WW1, complete with bayonet lug..

Both the model 12 and Ithaca 37 had no trigger disconnect sear so the trigger could be held and the user just cycled the action and held on for the ride.................Harold

I bet it looks a lot like the Model 12 in the EE with a 19" barrel on it. Probably with a heat shield and a bayo lug added for effect.
