Buddy of mine gave me his Win 69A to fix up for him...

I am looking for info for this gun...There is no serial # Stamped on it at all, so I am not sure of the manufacturing date.

There is alot of rust on it, so was planning to use a bit of steel wool or a scotch brite pad to clean it off then oil it up good until I can get it reblued...

So if someone knows where I can get a gun reblued in the Lethbridge area shoot me a PM. Unless its just as easy to do it myself??

Also the firing pin and cocking handle on the bolt are missing so I need a new bolt or parts to fix it. Gonna be kind of a big project, but the rifle was a gift from his mother so holds alot of sentimental value.

Well, any help would be appreciated!

gun parts

Try Numrich in New York for the bolt parts - big import pain in the butt to bring in a bolt, but the pieces you listed shouldn't be too difficult. "e-gunparts.com" should work if you add the "www." to the front of it and search away.

Try Western gun parts in Edmonton.
I had one of these years ago with the peep
sight on it - wish I still had it, it would shoot
one holer's all day.
None of them had serial #.

A P.S., on these 22 rifles, what I do is use my
wood lathe with wood plus in each end of the barrel and
reciever and after you strip the sights and trigger off,
I spin them and use emery cloth till smooth and work
up to 600 and then fine steel wool or a buffing wheel
and then clean and degrees couple of times and drop
in a plastic pipe with cold blue- cheap and easy.
or clean it up and find some one that does hot blue.
