Just got one 270 win.model 70 stainless classic with boss any comments from other owners could this be used for serious bench shooting ?

How do you define "serious bench shooting"?

The boss equipped factory rifle can be quite accurate as far a hunting rifle goes, but I don't think they would perform with any "serious bench rifle".

Yep!

Winchester and Browning are owned by the same company. A few years ago they offered the BOSS as an option on most of the M70 Variants.

As guntech mentioned they can be very accurate ---- for a hunting rifle. My 30-06 with BOSS is capable of shooting repeatable 5 shot groups of under 3/4 of a moa. As a hunter it is fantastic, as a "bench rifle" however it would not even be in the running.
