Hey im new on here. I shot a winchester 101 o/u ducks unlimited shotgun at trap this past weekend and was wondering what the gun is worth? It was # 36 of 50. It fit me really well and shot beautifully so i offered to purchase it. any help is appreciated. thanx.

It is worth whatever market value of a 101 is ,when people buy these guns at Du dinners and such the extra money paid is a donation and non recoupable .

Exactly what Struff55 said.
The Pretty Guns that are bought and sold as DU guns are for the cause they are promoting.
It benefits the local group and Ducks Unlimited in General.
Buy it if you like it and if they want more than a Win.101 that you can buy locally , well that is up to you to decide.Of course if it where me selling it I would want top dollar to recoup my costs ;)

I agree. A Ducks Unlimited gun, even a "limited edition" doesn't bring a premium over a similar grade gun. In fact, some of the DU guns are so damn hideous there should be a discount.

It's impossible to put an accurate value on the gun without knowing condition and configuration but I'd guess around $1,000-$1,500.

Agreed on comparrison price wise to a standard 101 with a slight premium to the DU die hards that like to have DU stamped on the gun. Once those guns are shot the value inherited is generally that of your standard manutacured gun.

Only question I would have value wise, due to the desire for screw in chokes these days, is the gun fixed choke or does it come with screw in Winchokes?
