Winchester 1200 question

Does the winchester 1200 do the same thing as the model 12 where you can hold down the trigger and pump and it fires as fast as you can pump?

I was looking for something different because my father has 2 model 12s and my brother has a model 12 but i think im just going to get a model 12, anyone know of particular models that dont have the bee hive looking fore end?
 
Not to be too contrarian, but the 12 gauge Winchester 1200 I had many years ago was a very good gun... IIRC, very strong rotating bolt, well made and decent balance (for a pump).

While I tend to agree that the Winchester pumps in general, and the 1200s in particular, are quality shotguns, the way the bolt head locks into the barrel recesses requires a level of fitting unnecessary in a shotgun, and is subject to wearing those recesses, and will eventually be the cause of failure. Should this happen and you attempt to simply swap barrels, it may or may not work since the replacement barrel is not matched to the bolt head. Its unfortunate that Winchester's engineers didn't design the bolt head to lockup with the receiver rather than the barrel. The Remington/Mossberg bolt's single lug lockup with the receiver, is less likely to fail, and is a superior system for anyone wanting to use multiple barrels.
