Quick question...I was talking to my girlfriends uncle and he has an older 1200 12ga with a fixed full choke. Is it possible to get another barrel for this gun that's a screw in choke and "steel friendly". He used to duck hunt when lead was legal and wants to get back into it without the expense of a new gun just yet if possible.

A you should have very little difficulty locating a Winchoke barrel, Model 120,1200 and 1300 barrels will fit.
Probably can have the existing barrel threaded for screw-in choke for about the same or less $ than buying a different barrel. Check out Epps website for gunsmithing services pricing. The M1200 barrel has lots of meat for reaming and threading.
