Hey Winchester fans...
So I can take an 870 apart with my eyes shut and assemble it just as quick....
I got a winchester 1300 a guy gave me the other day....
How the hell do you get the guts back in it?
Anybody know the trick to it?? I have the guts all in line and put back together, just cant seem to get it back in after assembly...
I'm not one for winchester shotties so I want to get it back together and give it to a young fellow I know...
Cheers,
Ken

just box it up and send it to me:) Seriously they are a little tricky to reassemble,it's been a while but i think the hammer has to be cocked and the rails have engage the correct spot on the bolt, good luck

I wonder if this will help.

I remember having a problem, too. I remember having to pound the crap out of it to get it apart--so that I could get it together again properly.

I also remember doing a Google search--several solutions showed up on the shottie sites in the US--THR and The Firing Line come to mind.

Trick? No trick. Just make sure everything lines up. Remember that screw in the plate under the breachblock goes in AFTER everything has been slid into the receiver.

I had one for a while, the worst gun I've ever owned bar none. The issue described was the mother of all evils where it was concerned. The biggest and ultimately unsolvable problem was after every shot the bolt would jump the rails.

I don't know why everyone says the 1300 is not good. Maybe I'm lucky, but I trade a Wingmaster (that jam every 10 shots or so) for a 1300 (not a defender) and this one NEVER jam (at least with birdshot). With this shotgun, I build my ultimate tactical shotgun (for me at least). I only have the problem that now I want a 14" barrel and will probably trade it for a Norc 14". But you can be sure that if I trade this one and have ANY problem with the 870 design, I will be the one that will discuss the design of the 870 the most!!!

This is my job!!!!! (not with with gun but any design that doesn't work good)

Ohhhh I hear you guys about jamming and being a general pain in the a$$.... Like I said it was given to me, so free gun is a good gun I guess.... LOOK ME UP TWINNIE IF YOU WANT TO TRADE, I WOULD DITCH THIS IN A SECOND FOR A FIFTH WINGMASTER!!!!!!! If I cant get it together the reciever will be a paPerweight and the barrel will be a straw for a large cup of beer on my deck this summer!
Thanks for the links guys, I will try to do something with it....
