Hi guys

I always liked the Winchester 1876 NWMP Carbine.
But the 2 calibers proposed 45-60 and 45-75 seem to be very difficult to find.
Does anyone have any experience with these calibers ? Is it possible to buy the manufactured ammo or is reloading the only option?

Thanks for your help.

If ye have the Lyman 49th edition Reloading Handbook, it has a great source of info on loads and suppliers for components for both, the .45-60 & 45-75 cartridges. The .45-75 would be my choice in one of these mainly because the bottle neck case of the .45-75 seals the breech much better than the straight cased .45-60 & allows for much less gas seepage and fouling of the action when using black powder or low pressure smokeless rounds.

I guess ,if it were myslef I would go with the .45-75, as the real Model 1876 Winchester RCMP rifles were in that calibre.
