Just got this beauty this week, yesterday was the first chance I had to get it to the range. I love these single shot rifles especially in 45-70.

Thanks, with one thing and another only managed to get out to 50 yards with 1" group - 3 rounds.

I lucked into mine, identical to yours, including that ouch butt-plate, just over five years ago. It even came with a box of twelve 405gr RP cartridges. The previous owner, of somewhat small stature, was knocked *artless shooting it and couldn't get rid of it fast enough. I got it for exactly half what he'd paid for it three months previously. Range Day - Take 2

Another fun day at the range with this gun , shot (2) targets at 50m and 2 targets at 100m to sight in - very happy so far. Took a short video for (2) shots just to see what I was doing with the trigger pull.
