Hey Guys

Anyone with some experience with the new production winchester high wall, possible in .223? what kind of accuracy, fit and finish etc. Sold my tack drivers, now looking for something a little diferent. If my 12x leupy don't sell, it should fit nicely on the winchester. Thanks

The orig. Highwall and some copies are far better suited to rimmed rounds, as their extractor won't move into the slot in a rimless case. The browning is an exception......all is not lost though as there are some very nice rimmed rounds for varmints.ie: 225 Win., 22 hornet, 218 Bee, 22 k hornet, 219 Zipper, 219 Donaldson Wasp, 222R, etc.....

Probably my favourite "classic" falling block rifle. Got one in 45-70, 7mm Rem Mag, .270 and .221 Fireball (re-chambered from .22 Hornet).

They are all very accurate, solid rifles. The Fireball is absolutely deadly on gophers. :)
