Saturday morning a friend of mine dropped off a Winchester 94 (Manufactured in 1952) a Winchester Little Big Horn, and a Winchester Mod 1886 in 45-70.
He wanted me to look them over and give him my opinion on the condition. The 94 looks minty, the Little Big Horn is also minty but missing the box and paperwork.
The 1886 overall looks to be in VG++ condition, the bore is in VG or better.
It hasn't been cleaned yet so it might be even better.
The thing that puzzles me is the rear sight, it looks original but it is the ladder type.
I have observed them on carbines but this one is longer than the ones I have looked at in the past.

The 1886 would be the most desirable, so anyone know what they be worth?

Without seeing the '86, if in good condition, s/n would be nice, but I'll go with $2.2K, until more info is brought to light...notice how no-one else takes a stab at it, but disses anyone that does!!

O.K. Ben, I will put in my 1 1/2cents also.
As I am not a Winy collector , b.book says
you are on the money at 40% condition.
When these guns where made , Winchester
would put any type of sights on it you wanted,
or any other goodies your heart and wallet wanted.
Oh- to have a time machine.
