I want to pull the trigger on a Winchester 1892 Short Rifle in 357 magnum but I can't find one in stock in Canada, can anyone point me in the right direction? I'm dead set on that exact configuration but have only found them in 45 Colt.

Appreciate the help!

for just a little more money DANTE'S has a WIN 1873 short rifle .357 in stock for $1679. I like them alot better as they are a little smoother and alot better feeding .38's. an 1892 however is the stronger action tho if you are going to use heavy loads. an 1892 will also feed .38's but you may need to make bullets longer, generally at least 1.5" or more where as a standard .38 is around 1.47". It all comes down to what you want use it for. I prefer the 1873 but I do like the 92. If you like the 92 PROPHET RIVER has some ROSSI's in .357, blued and stainless. I have read that their quality is quite good now that they built brand new factory in 2018. If you have the money tho buy the MIKURO WINCHESTER, they are very nice.

Calgary Shooting Center shows the 1892 carbine version in 357 in stock on their website. Not the short rifle, but it is a Miroku 1892 in 357...

I think you will be happy with your 1873, for a few hundred dollars more than a 1892 you got a much smoother and extremely fun gun to shoot. Also a 73 seems to hold it's resale value a little better. I love my 73. that was a good price at DANTE's because when the new ones come in stock again they will likely be a few hundred more.

I am a huge WINCHESTER fan and it looks like they have quite a few older ones. Too bad I am in ONTARIO, looks like a cool shop. They have a early 1900's 1894 in 38-55 that I like to have.

After doing some research I am actually quite happy I went with the 73. Seems to handle the 38 special better and I love the fact it has the half #### and no manual safety. Thanks for pointing me in that direction!
