Hi all,
A co-worker of mine has a Winchester 1894 saddle ring carbine in 25-35 cal and I was wondering what they are worth. He's interested in selling it.

Finish is about 50% on the metal. Wood has been refinished but not heavily sanded. forend has stable crack. Ring is missing but stud is there. Has ladder rear sight. Strong bore and everything seems to work fine.
Serial:1041###

Rifle came from Aklavik a long time ago and was rumoured to be involved in the mad trapper chase, but no proof of that, so price for the rifle, not the story.

Any info appreciated. Not many of these rifles in that cal to go by.

Never seen a Win. 94 go for less than 500 bucks, but this ones seems in rough shape, caliber might add value, but unsubstantiated story won't.

My friend as one in good shape metal is +-70% and have the wood not refurb he buy it at 800$ so your maybe 600/650

25-35 is the most sought after caliber of the model 94. It would be worth considerable more than 650-700. On the CGN a buyer with $1,000 would be along, in my opinion, very soon. If it is in very good/excellent condition, I wouldn't put it on under $1200.

Thanks! I've never come across one before. It was carried and used its life so it's not excellent. I would rate it good due to the missing saddle ring, crack in the forend and refinished wood. Surprised to see the ladder rear sight on it.
