Winchester 1894 magazine hanger replacement

I have a Winchester 1894 Canadian centennial and the magazine hanger is cracked. I have a replacement on order, but not sure how to remove the old one and install the new. It is silver soldered in place. Has anyone seen this or repared before, thanks.
